Chris Amos

Guitars, Dulcimer, Autoharp, Vox

Chris was caught by the first wave of Folk Revival in the 60's while sitting in the bath one night. The program he had been listening to came to an end and on came one of A.L.Lloyd's talks on Eastern European folk music during which was played some Albanian shepherds singing an unaccompanied song. He thought this one of the most beautiful things he had ever heard and was hooked for life.

Over the years he has played in bands of various different kinds ranging from folk & blues to psychedelic rock.

The early Folk Song collectors, Vaughan Williams, Percy Granger etc. made their own music based on the songs they had collected. While not pretending to be in their league he is now interested in what can be developed by the fusion of traditional music with modern recording techniques.
